“Rediscovering Rockwell”

Judson is collaborating with the Smithsonian American Art Museum to present “Rediscovering Rockwell,” July 2 through January 2, 2011 (see schedule below).  This series of public programs is a community-wide celebration of the life, legacy and work of legendary American artist, Norman Rockwell.

Norman Rockwell“Rediscovering Rockwell” is tied to the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s exhibition, “Telling Stories: Norman Rockwell from the Collections of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg,” which runs July 2 through January 2, 2011 in Washington, D.C.  “Telling Stories” is the first major exhibition to explore in-depth the connections between Norman Rockwell’s iconic images of American life and the movies.  “Rediscovering Rockwell” is one of the first times the Smithsonian American Art Museum has run simultaneous public programming with an organization outside the D.C. metro area.

In Northeast Ohio, “Rediscovering Rockwell” will feature lectures, exhibitions, films and distance learning opportunities for all ages.  Share/Bookmark
