JUDSON TO BREAK GROUND ON $200 MILLION
SOUTH FRANKLIN CIRCLE COMMUNITY IN SEPTEMBER
Private ground-breaking celebration is September 20 at 4:00 p.m.
Cleveland-based non-profit Judson Services, Inc. will break ground to begin construction on its new Chagrin Valley community, South Franklin Circle, in September. A ground-breaking celebration for invited guests and the media will be held on September 20 at 4:00 p.m., on the future site of the community, 16575 S. Franklin St., in Bainbridge.
Construction of the $200 million project will take place in two phases. Phase one, consisting of 75 percent of the community, will be built and ready for occupancy in fall 2009. Phase two, the remaining 25 percent, will be ready in fall 2010.
“We’re thrilled that the project continues to move forward,” says Cynthia H. Dunn, Judson President and CEO. “This community brings together two of the greatest assets of Northeast Ohio: the charm of the Chagrin Valley with the cultural richness and connectedness of University Circle. “We see it as a great way to retain and attract older adults to our region who wish to give back and strengthen our Greater Northern Ohio Community.”
Designed by world renowned architect Graham Gund, South Franklin Circle will offer multiple home styles (cottages, garden duplexes, town homes and apartments) with more than 30 different floor plans on a 90-acre setting with a true commitment to nature.
Judson Services, Inc. also operates Judson Park and Judson Manor, known collectively as Judson at University Circle, in Cleveland’s cultural and educational hub. The organization recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary of providing programs and living options for individuals taking charge of their successful aging experience.
